2022 Distinguished Alumni Awards

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2022 UW School of Medicine Distinguished Alumni Awards! The awards recognize remarkable alumni in four categories for exceptional contributions to the field of medicine. Alumni Spotlight: Colin Pritchard

Colin Pritchard, PhD ’05, MD ’07, Res. ’10, Fel. ’11, was a second-year medical student when he discovered his lifelong passion: genomic research, or the study of the genome and how genes interact with each other and the environment. Today, Pritchard co-directs the UW Medicine Genetics and Solid Tumors Laboratory and is the head of precision diagnostics at the Brotman Baty Institute, a Seattle-based innovation hub for genomic research and precision medicine. Learn about his award-winning career in genomic medicine research.
